Web 2.0?

Advertising Age had a good article recently on the web's rapid evolution (or devolution according to author Simon Dumenco) toward social networks that you should read. Written from the perspective of the advertising media industry, it wonders why- in an era where content is king- "new" content is becoming less meaningful but still relevant, and laments how myspace, twitter, etc. have actually suppressed the advancement of online technologies by adding noise rather than improved content delivery mechanisms.
